Sticky Sesame Chicken Ribs
Like chicken wings? You'll love these sticky and sweet chicken ribs!! A chicken rib is not really a “chicken rib” - it's part of the scapula/shoulder meat of a chicken.

Ingredients
- 1kg chicken ribs or wings
- Oil, for helping the seasoning adhere
- Rub & Grub Sticky Sesame
- Honey, for serving
- Chives, finely chopped for garnishing
Method
- Pre-heat your BBQ for high-heat indirect cooking at 215°C/400°F. For this recipe we used a Weber Kettle with a Rub & Grub Kettle Krown to form a "wing ring".
- Add a wood chunk to the coals. We like to use myall or cherry with chicken.
- Lightly coat the ribs/wings with oil, it helps the seasoning adhere.
- Season liberally with Rub & Grub Sticky Sesame and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the ribs/wing until their internal temperature reaches 74°C/165°F.
- Once plated, drizzle the honey over the ribs/wing and garnish with chives. We like to use Blend Smoked Honey - it's a classic and proven pairing for Sticky Sesame.
